Warner Bros. Discovery Sets Combined Upfront Event for May 18

By Brad Pareso

Three days after Warner Bros. Discovery appointed an ad sales chief, the company now also has a new upfront strategy following Friday’s merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery. The new company will hold its combined upfront on Wednesday morning, May 18 at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater, just five weeks from now. (Adweek)

The new event essentially takes over the spot in May’s upfront week preciously occupied by WarnerMedia. For years, that company has held forth in New York’s Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Wednesdays. During the upfront, U.S. TV networks try to sell the bulk of their ad inventory for their next programming cycle. (Variety)

Warner Bros. Discovery brands include Discovery Channel, discovery+, CNN, CNN+, DC, Eurosport, HBO, HBO Max, HGTV, Food Network, OWN, Investigation Discovery, TLC, Magnolia Network, TNT, TBS, truTV, Travel Channel, MotorTrend, Animal Planet, Science Channel, Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies and others. (Deadline)
