ViacomCBS’ Upfront Highlights Combined Content Slate Instead of Individual Brands

Making its upfronts week debut as a combined company, ViacomCBS went light on details and heavy on its overall content slate as it closed out the annual marketing event Wednesday afternoon. (Adweek)

The entire company presented together, with the CBS broadcast network, Paramount+, Pluto TV and the Viacom cable channels presenting their fare in one place. (THR)

ViacomCBS’ programming was promoted as one holistic slate, separated by genre: Dramas, comedies, reality/unscripted, kids and family, latenight/daytime, specials/events and sports/news. (Variety)

The company also announced CBS’ fall lineup, which features three new offshoots of the network’s most popular franchises: NCIS: Hawai’i, FBI: International and CSI: Vegas (what CBS is calling a “sequel” series to the original hit, which ran for 15 seasons). (Adweek)
