Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone Rejoining Company to Shape Its Culture

By Christine Zosche

Biz Stone, one of Twitter’s co-founders, will be rejoining the San Francisco-based company in a few weeks with a focus on helping guide company culture and shaping its image externally. (Adweek)

The move comes two months after Stone sold Q&A app Jelly to Pinterest. Twitter stock was trading up 2 percent on the news. (THR)

Stone says he’s returning “full time.” A Pinterest spokesperson said Stone will continue to serve as an adviser to co-founder and product boss Evan Sharp even with his new role at Twitter. (Recode)

Stone’s return to Twitter is just the latest in a long saga of departures and returns. Dorsey himself returned twice to the company, most recently when then-CEO Dick Costolo was forced out in 2015. The back-and-forth between the three founders—Dorsey, Stone and Evan Williams—included so much drama that a book about it was at one time commissioned to become a movie. (Variety)
