TikTok Overtakes YouTube for Average Watch Time in U.S., U.K.

App users in the U.K. and U.S. are spending more time on TikTok than on YouTube, a new report suggests. Data from app monitoring firm App Annie indicates that average time per user spent on the apps is higher for TikTok, indicating high levels of engagement. (BBC News)

By 2025, App Annie estimates consumers will spend $17.2 billion through social apps a year. This works out to around 30 percent growth every year, with this year expected to hit $6.8 billion. (Forbes)
