In Hollywood and Advertising, Michael K. Williams Set the Bar for Depth and Authenticity

Michael K. Williams, the actor who portrayed stickup-man-cum-antihero Omar Little in The Wire and racketeer Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire, died Monday inside his Brooklyn home at the age of 54. (Rolling Stone)

Most of Williams’ fans and obituary writers will understandably reflect on his Hollywood roles, but it’s worth also taking a moment to revisit and appreciate the authenticity and depth he brought to advertising, as well. (Adweek)
