Jim Sciutto Named Co-Anchor of CNN Newsroom

Poppy Harlow is getting a new on-air partner for the weekday edition of CNN Newsroom, and his name is Jim Sciutto. (TVNewser)

Sciutto will replace John Berman, who was shifted to the early-morning show New Day after the show’s co-anchor, Chris Cuomo, was given a prime-time slot. (THR)

According to a release by the network, Sciutto will retain his duties as CNN’s chief national security correspondent. He will also continue as a fill-in anchor on other shows. (Mediaite)

Prior to joining CNN, Sciutto served as ABC News’ senior foreign correspondent, based primarily in London and later in Washington. CNN also announced that Alex Marquardt will be joining its national security beat, and will be based in New York as senior national correspondent. (Variety)
