Grammys Move to April 3 on CBS and Paramount+ After Omicron Postponement

By Brad Pareso

The 64th Grammys have a new date after the ceremony’s omicron-related postponement earlier this month. The annual awards show will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ from Las Vegas on April 3 at 8 p.m. (Adweek)

The postponement marks the second year in a row that the Grammys have been delayed because of Covid-19. In 2021, the show was scheduled to take place Jan. 31 before being moved to March 14. (LA Times)

Representatives from the Recording Academy wouldn’t confirm the reasoning behind the location change, but it does look like the Crypto.com Arena’s calendar is full in the days leading up to April 3, not to mention both a Clippers and a Lakers game on the day. (NPR)

The CMT Music Awards, a show in which fans vote for their favorite country music artists, was supposed to take place on April 3. That event will move to a later date and air on CBS, according to the network. The Grammy Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with The Daily Show host Trevor Noah as the night’s master of ceremonies. (CNN)
