CEO of Tribune Publishing Fired in Wake of Alden Takeover

The chief executive of Tribune Publishing, owner of the Chicago Tribune and New York Daily News, has been fired in the wake of the takeover by cost-slashing hedge fund Alden Global Capital. (New York Post)

Terry Jimenez, who was the only Tribune Publishing board member to oppose its sale to Alden Global Capital, had been the CEO since January 2020 and with the company in executive roles since April 2016. (Chicago Sun-Times)
