Even though Americans won’t be able to attend Joe Biden‘s presidential inauguration ceremony in person, his inauguration committee in conjunction with TV networks and some famous faces are still trying to make the event as memorable as possible. (TVNewser)

On Wednesday, Biden’s inaugural committee announced that it would hold a prime-time television event Jan. 20 featuring celebrities including Tom Hanks, Justin Timberlake and Jon Bon Jovi that aims to “showcase the American people’s resilience, heroism, and unified commitment to coming together as a nation to heal and rebuild.” (NYT)

The event will air on broadcast channels ABC, CBS and NBC—but not Fox. Cable news networks CNN and MSNBC will carry it live. A spokesperson for Fox News said they will not carry the entire special but plan to air the live remarks Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will make during the event. (Politico)
