Ann Sarnoff Named Warner Bros. CEO in Surprise Pick

For the first time in its history, Warner Bros. will have a female CEO. (THR)

Ann Sarnoff, currently the president of BBC Studios Americas, has been named the new chair and CEO of Warner Bros. She will be based in Los Angeles and officially join the company later this summer. (Deadline)

She previously held executive roles at Dow Jones, the Women’s National Basketball Association, and Viacom. (CNN Business)

She was under the radar during WarnerMedia’s search for a successor to lead the studio following the forced resignation of chairman-CEO Kevin Tsujihara in March. (Variety)
