ABC News Suspends David Wright Due to Controversial Comments Captured on Hidden Camera

By Christine Zosche

ABC News correspondent David Wright has been suspended by ABC News for remarks he made that ended up in a video created by Project Veritas, the conservative group that records “undercover” footage of journalists and then spreads it to the masses, doing so in order to bolster what it believes is bias in mainstream media. Wright was caught on a video declaring himself a socialist and criticizing the network’s political coverage, including that of President Trump. Wright was covering the New Hampshire primary for Nightline earlier this month when he made the comments to a member of Project Veritas, a conservative website. (New York Post)

Wright has been with ABC News since 2000, according to a biography on the network’s website, and his reporting has been featured on all of the network’s biggest platforms, including World News Tonight and Good Morning America. (Politico)
