WPP Earns Three Top Prizes at the New York Festivals Advertising Awards Industry Awards

The New York Festivals Advertising Awards has announced its 2023 Industry Award recipients, with WPP earning three top prizes.

For the second straight year, WPP earned Holding Company of the Year honors at the NYF Industry Awards, which honors those companies which have put forth multi-award winning campaigns to demonstrate innovation and creativity. The award acknowledges the holding company that has earned the highest combined score for all entries in all mediums, based on the collective points earned across its extensive network and agencies.

“It’s an honor for WPP to be named New York Festivals Holding Company of the Year and a real testament to the excellent work created by our agencies. I couldn’t be more proud to be part of an organization that continuously pushes the boundaries of what and where creativity and innovation can happen,” said Rob Reilly, WPP’s global chief creative officer in a statement.

WPP agency VMLY&R took the 2023 Global Network of the Year for its achievements within the advertising industry on a global scale. In addition, VMLY&R Commerce U.S. was honored with the Agency of the Year Award for its campaign “Oreocodes,” created for the Mondelez brand Oreo. This entry also earned VMLY&R Commerce U.S. the distinguished Grand Award along with gold, silver and bronze trophies.

In addition, VMLY&R Commerce earned multi-New York Festivals Gold Awards for clients including Coca-Cola and Wendy’s.

Oreo was awarded the Global Brand of the Year honor, which recognizes a brand that excels across all mediums. It won for its “Oreocodes” campaign from VMLY&R Commerce, and “Oreo Cheat Codes,” from Saatchi & Saatchi Dusseldorf for Mondelez Europe.

The Public Relations Agency of the Year honor went to fischerAppelt in Germany, a content marketing and PR firm.

Ladoble Mexico won the Film Production Company of the Year for its work for DDB Mexico’s “Data Tienda” for client Gahr WeCapital.
