-Arm & Hammer is traveling back to the disco era, but instead of highlighting John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, the brand is using cats on a lighted dance floor. The work, “Slide Out of Funk,” from agency VIA, shows some funky felines getting down, all to promote the new Slide cat litter.

The animated cats campaign runs on social, animated display banners and in print ads.

-The ad world lost a legend with the death of Wieden+Kennedy founder David Kennedy.

-Another agency founder, John McGarry, co-founder of McGarryBowen, died Oct. 7 at age 81 following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, as reported by Ad Age.
