Wednesday Odds and Ends

-TBWA and Nissan will soon debut the latest installment of their GT Academy series on Hulu. This one is a 30-minute documentary film rather than a reality competition show; check out the trailer for “From a Dream to Dubai” above.

-MJD, the digital agency that scored a headline in ye olde Denver Egotist last month for opening a Boulder office but does NOT play any role in Alex Bogusky’s latest passion project, signed Creative Director Lindsey Harris to run its San Diego office after she managed a website redesign project for client Benefunder.

-Of course DDB specializes in advertising. But they also do public relations, and the Dairy Farmers of Canada recently picked the agency’s Toronto office to lead communications for its members, which include “approximately 12,000 dairy farms” across the Great White North.

-Team One created “Launch the Remarkable,” an initiative that helps job seekers skip the old annoying application process by solving a “real-world problem” instead. The winning “great idea” will score a three-month contract and $25K.

-Hollywood agency Troika hired TV vet Richard D’Alessio as its sixth creative director. One more couldn’t hurt…

-London-based agency Spafax will handle media sales for JetBlue, which still claims to be “New York’s Hometown Airline.”

-The AME Awards announced the winners of its 2015 World’s Best Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness contest. First place went to Jung Von Matt AG.

-Dubai Lynx — an awards ceremony in the MENA region — announced the winners of its International Festival of Creativity. Those winners included JWT’s offices in Riyadh and Amman.
