We’ve heard from a few spies that Cincinnati-based agency Northlich has lost the Long John Silver’s business. Northlich originally picked up LJS creative duties from Chicago’s Element 79 back in 2007 and has since produced work for the seafood chain that can be viewed here. The aforementioned, alleged agency/client split doesn’t seem so implausible considering that Yum! Brands agreed to sell off Long John Silver’s as well as A&W to franchisee groups just a few weeks ago. As is par for the course it seems, with new leadership comes new ideas on where to take a brand, and since the beginning of last week, the Northlich/Long John tips tips have been slowly accumulating. We’ve put in a few calls and emails to Northlich as well as the Yum media relations line for LJS, but have yet to hear back. We’ll let you know if and when we do.
