Omlet, a U.K.-based pet products company, has selected independent creative shop McGarrah Jessee (McJ) as its new agency partner as the company embarks on a journey to become America’s go-to brand for raising chickens, one of the country’s fastest growing hobbies.

McJ will focus on the brand’s expansion into the U.S. market in 2024 and the agency will handle creative, media and strategic duties, including a new product campaign.

Since its founding in 2004, Omlet has been on a mission to revolutionize every aspect of keeping and caring for animals. It has gained global recognition for its Eglu chicken coop product, which has been exhibited around the world and is featured in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum for British Design alongside the Jaguar and the Concord. Omlet’s expanding product portfolio includes additional core pet categories including dogs, cats and small animals.

“Omlet is synonymous with modern hobby chicken keeping in the U.K., where the Eglu chicken coops’ success have propelled these characterful creatures into the top five most kept pets,” said Johannes Paul, co-founder of Omlet in a statement. “In the last couple of years, we have seen huge growth in the U.S. and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with McJ to creatively and strategically turn that early growth into mainstream success.”

Omlet’s partnership with McJ will help elevate the brand’s presence and amplify its message.

“We were captivated by Omlet’s unique market position and momentum, but the real magic happened when we met their remarkable team and established a mutual excitement for this category,” said Britton Upham, CEO, McGarrah Jessee in a statement. “Their team’s thoughtfulness, design focus, and passion for building a tight knit relationship between its brand and customers, are well aligned with our values as an agency. It was abundantly clear we would do meaningful work together while having fun along the way.”

McJ’s initial work, which will focus on Omlet’s flagship Eglu product, is slated for early 2024.
