Motel 6 appointed Kansas City independent Barkley as agency of record, after firing longtime partner The Richards Group during the review process in response to  founder Stan Richards‘s comments during an internal agency meeting describing a campaign concept as “too Black.”

-Candy brand Airheads and auto insurance company The General appointed Chicago-based agency Highdive, Adweek’s Fastest Growing Agency of the Year for 2020, as creative agency of record.
