The Problem With Google Ads, Showcased by Mediaite

By Matt Van Hoven

Today Mediaite posted a story about how Fox News maybe wasn’t so fair and balanced with their coverage of a town hall. And then, because they use “we do what we want” ad server demon known as Google Ads, the nifty ad you see in the image above was served on their homepage and concurrent with the story.

So, not only has Mediaite made a statement (headline: Fox Decides, Then Reports: Coverage Of Obama Town Hall Clearly Unfair), but that point was seconded by Google’s wonky, super-specific ad server. Note: we’re not saying anything about Mediaite’s choice of headline here &#151 but they are victim to Google’s massive keyword power.
