The Martin Agency Abruptly Parts With Chief Creative Officer Joe Alexander

By Patrick Coffee

Chief creative officer Joe Alexander is out at the Martin Agency after more than 25 years. The news first ran in Adweek.

An agency spokesperson provided the following statement after multiple phone and email queries today and yesterday:

“I am now able to confirm with you that, as of today, Joe Alexander is no longer with our company.

That’s all the information I have for you at this time.”

The Martin representative declined to elaborate on the nature of his departure or respond to specific questions regarding the news.

Alexander first joined Martin in 1991 after holding top creative roles at TBWA\Chiat\Day and Coverdale Fury and received the CCO promotion in 2012. He may be best known for leading his shop’s work for Geico and Walmart.

He could not be reached for comment today.
