The Community Celebrates Friendship for Corona

By Erik Oster

With spring finally here (although it doesn’t feel like it here in the Northeast at the moment) The Community launched new campaigns for Corona Extra and Corona Familiar.

The Corona Extra campaign focuses on friendship with a pair of spots , extending the friendship theme to a group of young men and women. “Make The Most” and “Share What Matters” both hinge on the phrase “saber vivir,” which means “know how to live.” They focus on a laid-back approach to enjoying life with friends, offering translations for such phrases as “group chat” and “followers” in “The language of Saber Vivir.”

A “Friends That Are Family” broadcast spot for Corona Familiar also emphasizes friendship. The 30-second spot focuses on “the guy that’s invited to all the parties.” As it turns out, he brings along all his friends, because he involves them in everything. The spot, which suffers a bit from an old-fashioned boys’ club vibe, concludes with the tagline, “When what happens to you happens to all, that’s Familiar.”
