Jacuzzi Brands, makers of hot tub spas, whirlpool bathtubs, showers and toilets, has selected Publics Groupe’s Team One, originally launched as a dedicated unit for Lexus, as its agency partner.

“Team One came to the table with a deep understanding of what we are looking to achieve across our brands, and brought with them some very unique and innovative ideas that will help us get there,” Jacuzzi Brands svp, marketing Ed Sofia said in a statement. “We are excited to work with them as we write the next chapter in Jacuzzi Brands’ legacy.”

Earlier this year, Investindustrial entered into an agreement to acquire Jacuzzi Brands.

Jacuzzi Brands spent nearly $9 million in the first six months of 2019, up from $458,000 over that period and just over $7 million overall last year, according to Kantar Media. In 2017, Jacuzzi Brands spent a little under $9.2 million, according to Kantar Media.

Team One CEO Julie Michael said that Jacuzzi Brands was poised for aggressive growth, adding, “This is an incredible opportunity for Team One to create enduring impact by helping the Jacuzzi family of brands become increasingly coveted and beloved among modern affluent consumers.”

The appointment follows Team One going through a round of layoffs last month related to changes in client relationships.
