SuperBloom House Appoints Heather Pieske as Chief Creative Officer & Partner

By Kyle O'Brien

Independent content and production company SuperBloom House has hired Heather Pieske as chief creative officer and partner.

Pieske is tasked with boosting SuperBloom’s creative capabilities across all areas of the business, including advertising, digital, social and published media. In an effort to create Hollywood-level experiences for brands, Pieske will partner with talent inside SuperBloom’s Creative Collective to continue the agency’s mission to make advertising more like entertainment.

SuperBloom founders Briony McCarthy and Tom Dunlap wanted to bring in Pieske to strengthen their vision to change the shape of what a creative company of the future looks like through content that blends the traditional boundaries of advertising, entertainment, and social media.

“Putting wild, compelling creative ideas out into the world has been my motivation since I entered this industry. Joining SuperBloom is an exceptionally thrilling moment for me, as Briony and Tom are two people who still have the spark of endless possibility that so many have abandoned,” said Pieske in a statement.

Pieske joins from Vox Media, where she has been since 2019, most recently serving as vp, creative. There Pieske oversaw the creative execution of projects including Sephora’s award-winning documentary, “Beauty Of Blackness,” Ben & Jerry’s “Who We Are” episodic history podcast, and Ikea’s “Tiny Home Project,” among others. Prior to Vox Media, Pieske was a group creative director at Virtue Worldwide, the creative agency born from Vice.

“With Heather as our partner, we are doubling down on a new kind of creative force, one that makes it harder to distinguish advertising from entertainment and brands from publishers. Heather sees magic in all media, and that’s incredibly exciting for us, our people, and brands who want more attention,” said McCarthy in a statement.

Dunlap added that Pieske has been a driving force within the branded content and publishing industry, “crafting engaging narratives that have redefined the creative and content landscape.”

SuperBloom is an independent creative content and production company with a collective of over 300 eclectic and diverse creators from around the globe. It has studios in Los Angeles and Brooklyn.
