Alkemy X

Independent global media company Alkemy X has expanded its VFX team, bringing on Abhijeet Nawsagare as head of pipeline across all of its offices, and Brandon Young as CG supervisor out of its Los Angeles office.

Empower

Empower has named Emily Locker its senior vice president of the Chicago office. In her decade at the agency, Locker has served in three of the agency’s locations. Last summer, Locker moved to Chicago to take over leadership of the office and support its rapid growth.

Greg Clausen joins the client leadership team at Empower as a senior vice president by way of Spark Foundry, where he oversaw accounts including Dairy Queen, H&R Block, Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s and Nature’s Way Vitamins.

FCB

FCB has promoted Priyanka Goswami, Grace McCann and Rob Sturch to lead FCB/SIX Canada. Longstanding leaders of the FCB/SIX Canada management team, the trio has helped fuel much of the creative data network’s success, All three leaders will now serve on the management teams of both FCB/SIX and FCB Canada.

Goswami, svp, general manager, brings 17-plus years of experience focusing on digital and CRM to drive digital transformation. Sturch, executive creative director, has been a creative leader in his 15 years within the industry, helming campaigns for clients including Volkswagen, Stella Artois and Cheerios. McCann, svp operations and agency development has over 20 years of experience in operations and project management.

Horizon Media

Horizon Media has named Phil Mitchell its newest executive vice president, managing partner. Mitchell joined Horizon Media in 2012 as a senior vice president driving the digital brand strategy. In his new role, Mitchell will oversee the development of key financial services clients as well as build new client relationships, strategic leadership and team development.

Mitchell spent the early days of his career at Grey and Euro-RSCG as a traditional media planner, working on consumer brands. He then spent 12 years concentrating exclusively on digital marketing initiatives at imc2 and Neo@Ogilvy.

Imre

Imre has added Jennifer Kurowski as senior vice president of creative. She will work with agency partners to elevate the work. Kurowski joins imre with more than 21 years of experience, most recently at Digitas Health, serving as senior vice president and group creative director. At imre, Kurowski will share responsibility for brand and creative strategy development and oversight, team mentorship, and evolving creative services and new business initiatives, including strengthening the agency’s copywriting practice.

IPG

Interpublic Group has named Mish Fletcher as its first chief growth officer for the Asia-Pacific region. She joins from FCB Six in New York, where she was executive vice president and global growth officer for just over a year. Prior to that she was managing director and global head of marketing at Accenture Interactive.

At IPG, Fletcher will report to Simon Bond, senior vice president and chief growth officer. She will be based in Sydney and will work across the region, partnering with IPG agencies to ensure that the company is delivering the best marketing solutions to help drive growth for clients.

Before coming to IPG Fletcher spent nearly 15 years with OgilvyOne Worldwide, most recently as senior partner and worldwide managing director of marketing.

Maverick Group

The Maverick Group has promoted Chris Tedman, previously chief operating officer, to managing director of the business. Current managing director and co-founder Carron Edmonds will move into a newly created chairperson role, tasked with overseeing the overall growth of the group.

MiQ

Programmatic media partner MiQ has named former GroupM chief product officer Katherine Strieder as its new global chief product officer. Strieder will spearhead the training and development of product within MiQ and will also work across the organization to optimize the firm’s culture by aligning their diversity and inclusion goals.

Moloco

Programmatic advertising company Moloco has launched Moloco Studio, an in-house design studio dedicated to helping advertisers and marketers deliver ad creative across the programmatic ecosystem. The company will now use data-driven insights derived from its proprietary algorithms to determine which creative assets and campaign strategies will appeal most to an advertiser’s targeted audiences.

National CineMedia

National CineMedia, a cinema advertising network, has hired Manu Singh as senior vice president of strategic insight and analytics. She will lead the company’s marketing, sales, and advertising research team, including its proprietary Behind the Screens community of over 5,000 movie fans. She joins from Knotel, a leading global flexible workspace platform, where she oversaw sales and revenue strategy as general manager. Prior to that, Singh served as head of revenue strategy/audience research, digital insights and enterprise data strategy at Discovery, Inc.

Ogilvy

Ogilvy has tapped industry veteran Bob Poulin to join its Washington D.C. office to lead the agency’s government practice as managing director and chief growth officer. Poulin brings over 20 years of executive experience working across government and commercial sectors. In his new role, he will be responsible for overall management of the government practice, including providing senior-level counsel to Ogilvy’s federal and state clients, identifying new areas for growth and impact, and increasing its visibility within the market.

Previously, Poulin served as president of Havas Helia, the data, analytics, CRM and customer insight business unit of Havas Worldwide. He has also held senior leadership roles at evox, AKQA, and Magnet Interactive.

Omnicom Group

WaterWipes, an Irish company with a presence in over 50 countries, has appointed Omnicom Group as its global agency of record, with work being led by BBDO LA for creative and strategic leadership, OPRG for PR and reputation management, OMG for media and Velocity Commerce Group (VCG) for retail.

WaterWipes previously worked with Interpublic Group and the Brooklyn Brothers, and IPG will continue to work with WaterWipes on the transition through the end of October 2021.

Outfront Media

Outfront Media has brought in Neil Shapiro as vp, head of programmatic, to lead programmatic business and sales strategy. Shapiro was formerly at Captivate, where he was the svp east and central region sales, leading the company’s digital evolution in programmatic sales. He also held positions at Shazam, Flixster, The Huffington Post and AOL.

Partners + Napier

Partners + Napier has appointed Danene DiCicco as executive producer of Gammut Productions, its in-house content production studio. DiCicco joins the agency from MullenLowe U.S. and MMB in Boston.

DiCicco brings years of operations experience as a complement to Matt Spaull, director of Gammut Productions. While at MullenLowe U.S., DiCicco worked on numerous productions for clients including JetBlue, Hyatt Hotels, Royal Caribbean, Unilever, Athenahealth, and US Cellular. Her work on American Greetings’ “What It Means to Love” spot earned a Cannes Lion. DiCicco also oversaw all broadcast and digital production for the Department of Defense.

Unit9

Global production studio Unit9 has signed director and photographer Brit Phelan. She was recently tapped to direct White Claw’s newest campaign “Let’s White Claw” with Rothco Agency. Before joining UNIT9, Phelan held positions at Wieden+Kennedy and 72andSunny.

VaynerMedia

VaynerMedia has appointed Eric Jacobs as the agency’s first chief innovation officer. In this role, Jacobs will spearhead VaynerMedia’s innovation and technology services and will report to CEO Gary Vaynerchuk.

Jacobs was most recently senior vice president of business development at payment platforms company Adyen, where he focused on the company’s strategic expansion into new key verticals. He also started and led global DEI efforts across the company.

Jacobs is the latest senior hire at VaynerMedia as the agency bolsters its leadership team. Gabriela Fenton was appointed managing director of the recently launched VaynerMedia LatAm office in May, and Lisa Buckley was promoted to managing director of VaynerMedia Los Angeles last month.

VMLY&R

VMLY&R Commerce has added TJ Reilly to the North America leadership team as evp of performance media and will be responsible for overseeing a customer-centric media approach to commerce channels, optimizing acquisition and performance growth for clients.

Reilly has held leadership positions at Signet Jewelers, eBay Clearsaleing, and Rosetta.

Voyager

Brooklyn-based commercial production company Voyager has added versatile comedy, lifestyle and visual storytelling director Christopher Nataanii Cegielski to its roster for his first exclusive U.S. commercial representation.

Where the Buffalo Roam

Creative production company Where the Buffalo Roam has signed director Azsa West, who has worked with Nike, Shiseido, Beautiful People and more. In addition to directing, West is a creative director at Wieden+Kennedy Portland, a role she continues to hold.
