It’s Friday again, so we’re back with the top hires, promotions and career shifts at agencies this week.
160/90 welcomed three new team members to its public relations and communications team. AJ Goodman joined as senior vice president, global corporate communications lead, Victoria Biggs joined as senior vice president, global consumer public relations lead based in London and Marinda Yelverton joined as vp, creator and social based in Santa Monica.
Advantage Unified Commerce
Commerce agency Advantage Unified Commerce (AUC) has named Nichole Simpson as its new senior vice president of business development and customer leadership. Simpson, who has more than 15 years of experience in the adult beverage industry, was previously at Walmart as senior adult beverage buyer and E&J Gallo, where she managed categories, sales and brands.
Anzu named Luc Marsolais, COO at Sharethrough, as its strategic advisor. Marsolais brings expertise on how DSPs and SSPs operate, which enables him to navigate programmatic advertising effectively.
Caner Daywood was named global senior social strategist at Buttermilk. Daywood will lead end-to-end influencer creative strategy as well as multiple strategy and brand planning projects.
Bobby Pearce was named U.S. head of creative at Gravity Global. Having previously led creative at BBDO, David&Goliath and The Wonderful Company, Pearce brings experience working with big brands and growing a creative bench.
GS&F named Melvin Strobbe as its new executive creative director. Strobbe is known for his award-winning work for b-to-b and consumer brands.
Immediate Media Co
Immediate Media Co named Christina Hawley as chief commercial officer. Hawley will drive new and existing revenue opportunities across the company’s advertising and subscription functions, as well as lead Immediate Live, commerce, affiliates, audience development, marketing and strategic partnerships.
Marcus Thomas hired Christopher Dean as media director. Dean will work on Marcus Thomas’ Stanley Black and Decker business.
Marketing Architects hired Steve Babcock as chief creative officer. With over 20 years of experience, Babcock has worked in creative leadership roles at VaynerMedia, Boede + Partners, Crispin Porter + Bogusky and EVB.
My Code named Rebecca Kramer Rosengard svp of marketing. The strategic hire aims to further advance My Code’s mission to reshape the future of diversity in media.
Park & Battery
The Oakland Roots Sports Club welcomed Park & Battery co-founder Ted Kohnen to the ownership group of the Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul professional soccer teams. The purpose-driven team was founded in 2019 and has attracted investors including Marshawn Lynch and G-Eazy.
Publicis Media named Veronica Appleton, PhD as its new svp, diversity, equity and inclusion. Appleton will oversee all talent DE&I strategic across agency brands at Publicis Media U.S.
SuperBloom named Kristin Childers head of content production. Childers will work to produce a new slate of branded content, including podcasts, a stop motion video series and a travel mystery non-scripted series.
Tactical hired Jose M. Sanchez as head of creative. Sanchez will lead the company’s mission to leverage creative, technology and data to enable brands to share culture through marketing campaigns.
Talon named Todd Palatnek svp, client development. Palatnek will lead the agency’s business expansion and drive revenue growth in North America.
The Considered promoted Tina Bertolini to head of operations and project management. Bertolini has been with The Considered since its beginning days, and has worked to ensure all client projects progress on schedule with top quality results.
WTP Pictures signed director Matthias Hoene to its filmmaker roster. It has also signed Chiara Chung and Gunder Kehoe for Midwest representation.
