We’re back this Thursday with news of cross-industry partnerships, new campaign launches and a couple of rebrands.

Acadia

Acadia was named as the agency of record for Academy Sports and Outdoors. Acadia is tasked with helping Academy expand its in-house data and analytics in order to better market to existing customers.

Digital marketing agency Agital acquired Web Development Group, or WDG. The acquisition provides Agital with new capabilities in implementation, web experience design and platform development.

AMP

The Association of Music Producers has issued the Call for Entries for the 2024 AMP Awards for Music & Sound, the ad industry’s only non-profit, juried competition for music and sound for brands. The deadline for submitting entries is March 1. For details visit the AMP Awards entry portal here.

Anthesis

Sustainability professional group Anthesis acquired global purpose strategy specialist group Revolt. The two will work together to support client partners with the technical expertise, sustainability capability and strategic ambition needed to succeed in sustainability.

Avōq

Matter+Kivvit rebranded to Avōq, speaking to the company’s position as a national advocacy and communications firm. The agency’s new brand combines strategic communications, advocacy and creative into a single data- and insights-powered firm.

BrandStar

BrandStar acquired Britton Marketing and Design Group. The acquisition furthers Brandstar’s presence into middle America while also expanding strategic creative capabilities.

Callen

Callen was named as the creative agency of record for active recovery footwear brand Oofos. The agency will lead traditional creative campaigns, culture integration and experiential activations.

Creature

Creature London was chosen as the creative agency for Jose Cuervo by Proximo Spirits. The agency will lead the delivery of a global digital-first multi-channel campaign across film, print and OOH.

Curious Plot

Curious Plot was selected as the new agency of record for the California Avocado Commission. The agency will work alongside the commission to launch a new marketing campaign supporting the 2024 California avocado season.

Fresh Consumables

New content production studio Fresh Consumables just launched in Nashville. The agency offers full-service creative and production services, specializing in quick-turn, high-volume digital asset and content production.

Fusion92

Fusion92 moved its Chicago headquarters to the historic Merchandise Mart. This is part of a larger effort of continued growth for the agency, which also has hubs in Detroit, Austin and Denver.

Hanson Dodge

Hanson Dodge was chosen as the North American agency partner for outdoor performance dog gear brand Ruffwear. The agency will work to increase brand awareness and drive profitable growth for North American retail and global ecommerce business.

Ideasicle X

Ideasicle X launched a new product, “JumpStart.” The product aims to help advertising agencies who are pitching new business by recruiting talent to generative creative ideas for the pitch.

InnoVision Marketing Group

InnoVision Marketing Group just launched InnoVision Talent Agency, a new venture that aims to revolutionize the commission structure for their talent. Its new structure gives each person on its roster 100% of their earnings, with the agency only profiting from the fee charged to the production.

The company also announced its selection as the official agency of record for the San Diego Mojo, a new professional women’s indoor volleyball team in San Diego.

Inuvo

Marketing technology provider Inuvo is maintaining its continued commitment to a cookieless future with IntentKey AI. The company outlined the ways its technology is able to work around Google’s recent privacy changes.

Media.Monks

Media.Monks presented a new AI-driven marketing transformation at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. The agency demoed three AI workflows, including connect, data and digital media and technology services, that highlight the company’s focus on the future of artificial intelligence.

Monogram

A new boutique agency, Monogram, launched to serve as the marketing firm for notable hospitality, gaming, resort, real estate, entertainment and food and beverage companies. Its core capabilities include strategy, branding, advertising, design and media management.

Øuterkind

AMA Pro Racing, in collaboration with agency Øuterkind and the City of Sturgis, announced a major new event on the 2024 Progressive American Flat Track schedule: the inaugural Spirit of Sturgis TT, scheduled for August 11 coinciding with the final Sunday of the 84th Annual City of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

PixMob

PixMob partnered with the Professional Women’s Hockey League in North America to supercharge its fan experience for 2024. The effort aims to combat the inequities between the men’s and women’s hockey league pay, attendance and coverage.
