“Publicis Hates Kids with Cancer”

I can’t take credit for this headline, which is classic in and of itself. But this next bit of info lends itself to why Parker calls agencies like Publicis BDAs, “Big Dumb Agencies.” This is from a verbose source.

“…Apparently no ceo is going to fix the lack of talent and vision of publicis. This is a business of ideas and the execution of those ideas and the (person) in charge of that, (a certain top creative) is an absolute joke. (His/her) latest move? To fire one of the nicest creatives (who had talent by the way) whose little boy, get this, has cancer and was going into surgery that week…And it’s not like they couldn’t afford him. He was replaced with some other hack &#151 because let’s face it, if you’re taking a job at Publicis, talent isn’t your strong point.”
