Pasalacámara: Un Regalito de Barcelona

By Matt Van Hoven

Herraiz Soto is a Barcelona (Castellano!) agency, owned by Rafa Soto and Marcel Zuazua. You’ve most recently heard of them from a project called Ommwriter, a tool that helps you focus while you write. Today they introduce a new campaign for Casio’s Exilim. Technically the project part is over, and now it’s time to show us what they learned after sending 12 cameras out into the wild, with only one battery each.

For ‘Pasalacamara’, which means pass the camera, the shop 12 cams to 12 people, who took a few fotos and handed them on, uploading images to a site aptly
named pasalacamara.com.

Using Casio’s Exilim H10, with its battery that can take 1,000 pics, Pasalacámara is a campaign photo-lovers will enjoy. Others? This is one of those social experiments that you could probably write about for a sociology class. You could riff for awhile about how artistic Spaniards (well, Castillians too) are while fondly remembering your many trips to Barcelona.
