The first thing I read this morning while nursing my serious tequila hangover is this story about JWT. How befitting.
It seems that after a review of Diageo’s Jose Cuervo account the creative duties have moved to JWT.
Others in the running were Tribal DDB and the agency that held the account, The Arnell Group, and Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Apparently, The Arnell Group and Bartle Bogle Hegarty never made it to the final round.
This adds to the Diageo brands that JWT already handles such as Smirnoff, Smirnoff Ice and Baileys.
According to Adweek, last year U.S major media spending on Jose Cuervo totaled nearly $20 million and nearly $10 million in the first four months of 2008.
