Majority Brings on Brandon Butler as Partner, Chief Content Officer

By Kyle O'Brien

Atlanta-based creative agency Majority has landed a new partner in Brandon Butler, who becomes chief content officer, a role that operates at the intersection of creativity, strategy and production.

Omid Farhang launched Majority in 2021 with founding partners Shaquille O’Neal, Asmirh Davis (chief strategy officer) and Jorge Hernandez (chief marketing officer), with diversity at its core. One year later Butler becomes another partner, joining from Dagger, where he was the executive director of Butter.ATL, Atlanta’s premiere culture channel.

Through Butler’s vision, Butter has become one of the most prominent voices of culture, perspective, insight and education in Atlanta. Butler was named to Adweek’s Creative 100 in 2021 and Atlanta Magazine’s 500 Most Powerful Leaders in 2020 and 2021. With his move to Majority, Butler also secures majority ownership and control of Butter.ATL moving forward.

“Atlanta is the epicenter of culture and Majority is building something truly special,” said Butler in a statement. “I’m excited to join a team that delivers amazing work while leading with an innovative approach to diversity.”

Prior to Dagger, Butler had stops at Accenture, Edelman, Public Broadcasting Atlanta and NBA Digital. He has become an in-demand speaker and panelist in the Atlanta region and beyond, sharing the stage with the likes of Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, Stacey Abrams, Killer Mike and Ryan Gravel.

“Brandon’s multitude of talents make him the quintessential problem-solver and teammate,” said Farhang, CEO of Majority, in a statement. “He helps us harness the profound power of Atlanta culture to put brands into pop culture.”

Butler officially begins his new role at Majority on April 11.
