Yesterday brought news of Chiat\Day founder Guy Day’s passing. He was 77, and according to a statement from TBWA\Chiat\Day, Mr. Day died due to natural causes in his sleep on Saturday, Jan. 16.
A quote from Lee Clow, chief creative officer and global director media arts, “Guy made me sane while Jay made me crazy. He taught me a lot of things — like how to understand Jay. I probably wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Guy.”

Guy is survived by his wife Annette, daughter Colleen, sons Bill and Cameron and four grandchildren. A private family ceremony will be held through the Neptune Society.
