LeBron Thanks Akron, Forgets Cleveland Fans

By Michael Musco

Lebron James must have had mojitos and sunshine on his mind before writing his goodbyes to Cleveland. James thanks Akron residents for their love and support in an ad in today’s Akron Beacon Journal. Only he left out just a tiny piece of info. He mentioned nothing of Cleveland or just Cavaliers fans in general. His ad reads,

“To My Family, Friends and Fans in Akron:

For all my life, I have lived in Akron — and for that, I am truly a lucky man.

It was here where I first learned how to play basketball, and where I met the people who would become my lifelong friends and mentors. Their guidance, encouragement and support will always be with me.

Akron is my home, and the central focus of my life. It’s where I started, and it’s where I will always come back to.

You can be sure that I will continue to do everything I can for this city, which is so important to my family and me. Thank you for your love and support. You mean everything to me.”

LeBron”

Good job Lebron. Wouldn’t it be nice to go out on a good note? It’s bad enough the Cavs fans are pissed off at your leaving in the first place but to not even give them a shout? Good luck endorsing sneakers in the hopes of your hometown and long time Ohio fans copping a pair. That was just bad for business. See the full ad after the jump.
