GSD&M has implemented layoffs, furloughs and salary cuts across the agency in response to Covid-19 and the impact it’s had on companies.
“We are adjusting our business to meet the changing needs of our clients,” the agency said in a statement. It did not provide any additional information or state how many employees were impacted.
GSD&M is an Omnicom agency based in Austin, Texas. Recent wins for the shop include Capital One and Universal Parks & Resorts. It recently lost Popeyes’ creative account to Gut.
The cuts come a week after Omnicom CEO John Wren outlined a series of cost-saving measures the holding company is taking in response to the coronavirus pandemic, including furloughs and layoffs across many of its agencies.
