Late yesterday word broke that Lady Gaga has been hired as a creative director for the nearly-dead instant film company, Polaroid. Mediabistro.com’s Editorial Director Chris Ariens is on the ground at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas where today Gaga and Polaroid held a press conference at their booth — and the singer/songwriter/cd clarified her role.

“This is not an endorsement deal, we won’t be selling cameras that have my face on them,” said Gaga, who was apparently wearing a large white hat during the packed event. She also said she’s excited to be Polaroid’s creative director, and bringing instant cameras into the future — no clarification yet as to what that means.
