Global creative agency Forsman & Bodenfors has opened its first U.K. office, expanding the agency’s European presence.
Forsman & Bodenfors London will operate as a hub, connecting to talent across the collective. This includes not only the founding Swedish offices in Gothenburg and Stockholm, but also across the Irish Sea to the newly acquired team in Forsman & Bodenfors Dublin, as well as the collective’s studios in New York, Toronto, Singapore and Shanghai.
Global creative lead from the collective’s Swedish headquarters, Johan Eghammer, will relocate to London to take on the role of head of creative. Eghammer has spent most of his career at Forsman & Bodenfors, working on brands including Volvo Cars, Ikea, Oatly, Visit Sweden and Carlsberg.
“To bring a bit of Swedish secret sauce to London’s vibrant creative scene is really exciting for the collective and for me personally,” said Eghammer in a statement. “I get the feeling our mix of highly creative standards and radical collaboration will find a home here.”
Saiveer Joneja joins as client director, working with business leads across regional and global clients. He comes to Forsman & Bodenfors from HSBC and also spent time in roles at Superunion, Cowan and Dragon Rouge. He has worked in multiple markets with blue chip clients across Asia, Europe and the U.S.
Eghammer and Joneja will work with with Forsman & Bodenfors’ global CEO Toby Southgate, who is based in London, and global chief creative officer Anna Qvennerstedt.
“London is a very natural step for us as we build a dynamic European offering,” said Southgate in a statement. “There’s a clear demand for our special ways of working and thinking from brands and businesses beyond Sweden and our existing hubs—and we of course need to be where our clients are.”
The launch of a Forsman & Bodenfors brand in London brings the total number of the collective’s offices worldwide to nine.
Earlier this year Forsman & Bodenfors was named Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s global lead creative and brand agency, in partnership with Stagwell’s media agency Assembly, with the business being run out of London.
Forsman& Bodenfors continues to expand its global remit across the collective with clients that include Diageo, General Mills, Haagen Dazs and Crocs.
The agency plans to organically grow its talent pool with creative and specialist firepower in the near future.
