Former Sprint Marketing Exec Lands at Barkley

Kansas City-based agency Barkley appointed Mike Goff to the newly-created position of executive vice president for account leadership, where he will oversee several accounts, Kansas City Business Journal reports.

Goff arrives at the agency from Premier Sports Management in Overland Park, where he served as president, leading day-to-day operations and business development. He originally joined the sports marketing company back in 2012 as chief marketing officer. That followed 22 years at Sprint, most recently as vice president of corporate marketing, during which time he helmed branding efforts for the 2005 Sprint-Nextel merger, led the rebranding of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and worked on the brand’s 2011 iPhone launch.

“We are thrilled to have Mike join our team,” said Barkley CEO Jeff King in a statement. “He is one of the smartest marketing people I’ve met, and he is a great fit for our culture. We are lucky to have him at Barkley.”
