Eve Rémillard-Larose Named CEO of DDB Canada

By Kyle O'Brien

DDB North America has appointed Eve Rémillard-Larose as CEO of DDB Canada. She is tasked with driving integration across the agency’s brands—DDB Canada, with offices in Edmonton, Montreal and Toronto, along with TrackDDB and Anderson Health & Wellness—under one DDB Canada umbrella.

Rémillard-Larose will report into DDB North America CEO and president Justin Thomas-Copeland to carry out agency’s vision of becoming a creative powerhouse, as well as upping DDB’s clout in Canada.

“We’ve been waiting for someone like Eve in Canada, who combines a true creative spirit, a growth mindset with people-first leadership values,” Thomas-Copeland said in a statement. “In order to have a strong, connected DDB North America, we need a strong DDB Canada. And Eve will play a vital role in making it shine and fostering borderless partnerships with our U.S. agencies, to deliver the most powerful creative solutions to clients. We all have the same vision that we can create more value together, for our clients and so, we cannot wait to have Eve on board.”

Rémillard-Larose comes to DDB Canada after over 16 years at Sid Lee, most recently as co-managing partner of Sid Lee Toronto. Prior to that she was an account manager at FCB. Her appointment follows the departure of Kevin Brady in February 2022, after a long tenure as president and CEO of DDB Canada. Thomas-Copeland has been overseeing operations in the interim.

One of Rémillard-Larose’s focus areas will be promoting the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.

“My first item of business is the people, because after all creativity is a people business,” Rémillard-Larose said in a statement. “The talent market is very hot right now and people don’t fit just one job description. There is so much talent out there that are both excited about the transformation journey that DDB Canada is on—and have the experience and passion we need to adapt the business for today.”
