Correction: Ben Clapp was not fired (as mentioned below), but has in fact quit and has moved on to Elvis (this is according to Ben, who e-mailed us to let us know – thanks Ben).

There have been some changes going on at Tribal DDB over the last few weeks. Kevin Flatt was let go as the ECD of the agency’s Chicago office right before the holidays. Thomas Tafuo (pictured above), ECD of Tribal Dallas, was also shown the door. The agency is planning on naming his replacement soon enough, though both ECDs are still named on the website. As well, rumors have been circulating that New York ECD, Steve Nesle, would be making a career leap of some sort. Not true according to the shop. Nesle will be holding down New York, per usual.
Tribal DDB was named to AdAge’s Agency A-List despite these top level changes. Tribal is used to not having leadership. The agency lost their CEO, Matt Freeman, and still locked down wins this year.
