DigitasLBi Parts With Doug Schiff, Creative Lead in Boston and Detroit

By Patrick Coffee

DigitasLBi is looking for a new creative lead across its Boston and Detroit offices after parting with EVP, executive creative director Doug Schiff.

A spokesperson confirmed that Schiff is no longer with the agency and that the search for his successor has begun. He later told us that he left the company in anticipation of his family’s pending move back to Asia.

“Digitas has an amazing group of talents and I’ll miss working among them,” he said.

North American CCO Ronald Ng added, “Doug was a brilliant addition to the team and we wish him and his family the absolute best with their move to China. He will be missed.”

Schiff joined the DigitasLBi organization last April after spending several years at OgilvyOne China, where he was national ECD leading the offices in Beijing and Shanghai. While in Boston, he reported to Ng and worked across several of the network’s biggest accounts including GM, Goodyear and Dunkin’ Donuts (whose marketing team is now led by former DigitasLBi CEO Tony Weisman).

During his time in China, he worked across several big brands including IBM, Nestle, Volkswagen, Siemens, Lenovo and Mercedes Benz (portfolio here), leading campaigns that won a variety of awards including some of China’s first global honors.

Schiff began his career at Leo Burnett in Chicago before moving to JWT in Singapore and Dentsu in Tokyo.
