Digitas LBi appointed Klaus Schlechner senior vice president, strategy and analysis. In the role, Schlechner will be responsible for customer database analytics, marketing consulting services and digital media analytics while working with clients to drive strategic thinking and reporting to DigitasLBi San Francisco senior vice president, group director John Stewart.

Schlechner arrives at Digitas LBi from mcgarrybowen New York, where he has served as group director, marketing science since May of 2014. That followed nearly six years at Wunderman as senior vice president, analytics and insights. Before that he spent a little over a year at Money Mailer, arriving as director, special assistant to the CEO and receiving a promotion to vice president, marketing just four months later. Prior to that he served as manager, marketing analytics at Y&R/Wunderman for around two years.

Schlechner’s move to Digitas LBi comes as more traditional agencies face increasing competition from consultancies, something Maurice Levy discussed in a recent interview with Adweek
