Creative Director Roy Torres Joins 22squared

By Erik Oster

22squared announced the hiring of creative director Roy Torres, who will work out of the agency’s Atlanta offices.

Torres arrives at 22squared following a period as a New York-based freelance creative/art director, during which time he worked on this recent Instagram Range Rover campaign by Y&R and many other projects. Less than a year ago he also founded his own company in the Brooklyn-based knife & luck, which seems to deal primarily in furniture restoration services.

Before going freelance, Torres spent a little over a year as an associate creative director with Grey New York, working with clients such as Ketel One, Advil, Hasbro, Longhorn Steakhouse and The Whitney Museum. Prior to that period, he was an art director at Anomaly who worked on the agency’s global Converse campaign.

That sneaker stint followed a year spent in Australia as an art director for Droga5 working with clients such as Renault and Victoria Bitter Beer. Torres began his career at Y&R New York as an AD in June of 2008 following art director internships at Saatchi & Saatchi and TBWA.

From 2010-2014, he also served as an instructor at Miami Ad School in New York. Check out his digital portfolio here.
