Mullen announced that Brian Tierney, writer and lead creative director on Garmin’s Super Bowl and “Give a Garmin” holiday campaigns, joined ECD Mark Wenneker’s “new-look creative department” at Mullen in the role of SVP, creative director.
Tierney, a Fallon and CP+B vet, also worked on the launch of BMW’s MINI Cooper and Burger King’s “Fantasy Ranch” TV spot while at the latter agency. In a statement regarding Tierney, who has been running his own eponymous shop in Minneapolis for the last few years, Wenneker says, “It’s a sad day for the entire freelance community. But, an incredible day for Mullen. Brian’s got a big heart, a wicked sense of humor and an incredible body. Of work, I mean.”
