It’s that time of year when producers are running around collecting credits and creatives are chained to their desks assembling award entries (be they real or total vapor).

First up – The Future Lions, hosted by AKQA in collaboration with the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, is calling for entries in its 2009 competition. Rei Inamoto, Co-Chief Creative Officer at AKQA. “We suspect that this year’s entries will have marketers and agencies fighting for the winners’ attention.” Well, certainly the agencies. Not so sure about the marketers, but who cares! It’s a fricking Lion! I’m not even kidding about that.

Next up – The One Show. If you haven’t gotten that entry in, well, it’s too late. The One Show is kicking off in just a few weeks and hopefully, we’ll be having a judge blog the entire process. That could be fun, right? Right?

Last, but certainly not least – It’s almost time for the Webby Awards, which will close out Internet Week (hunh?) this June here in New York. The Webby Awards are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. In the video above, you can see collateral from Interactive Director/Producer Tim Nolan’s and Poke’s shortlisted entry for upl8.tv.

Good luck to everyone who is shortlisted and those just now entering.
