Late last week, the 54th annual American Marketing Association AMY Awards took place in Atlanta, and the folks at local digital shop IQ, or IQ Interactive as we used to know it, took it upon themselves to embarrass their CEO, Tony Quin, who was up for the Agency Marketer of the Year (AMY) prize.
How, you ask? Well, IQ posted a mad lib (above) in the event program and invited the audience to write Quin’s acceptance speech and submit it to the judges from their phone at the event. Surprise, surprise, Quin won the AMY award and here’s his speech complete with winning mad lib below. A tripod would have been more useful, though.
