Anomaly New York appointed Chris Hinkaty as managing director.

Hinkaty joins the agency from Grey New York, where he has served as executive vice president, group account director since December of 2011, focusing on Marriott Hotels, Nestle’s Haagen-Dazs brand and Red Lobster. He originally joined Grey back in 2005 as vice president, management supervisor working on Diageo’s Crown Royal account, and two years later he was promoted to group management supervisor, adding Diageo’s Captain Morgan and Ketel One brands to his responsibilities.

Two years after that, he was promoted to senior vice president, account director and added work on the Canon DSLR account. Before joining Grey, Hinkaty spent five years as interactive services director for Gotham Inc. He originally joined Gotham back in 1997 as a junior media planner working on E*Trade, Pete’s Brewing Co., USA Today and new business before working his way up to roles as an account director, account supervisor and account executive.

“This is all about establishing the management infrastructure for the future following sustained growth over the last few years,” said Anomaly New York CEO Karina Wilsher. “Despite our success we’re never really completely satisfied, and chris’ appointment reflects our commitment to continuing to getting better as we get bigger. His strength of leadership, and killer sense of calm, is a winning combination.”
