Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV is launching “Live in the D,” a local show about news, culture, entertainment and lifestyle, in August. The show will be anchored by morning anchor Guy Gordon and midday anchor Karen Drew.
“When we started conceiving this program, we didn’t have to look far to find the right people to host this next step in our daytime line-up. We are thrilled to have Guy and Karen as the face of our new show,” WDIV vice president and general manager Marla Drutz said in a statement.
WDIV says the show will “have the elements of a daytime newscast with additional guest-driven conversations and feature a core of contributors.” The first show is slated for August 12.
