KMOV anchor and reporter Robin Smith says she’s retiring at the end of the month.

Smith started at the St. Louis CBS affiliate in 1978. She started working in the area in 1973, having also worked at KSDK and KTVI. She started working at KSDK when she was 19. Her last day will be July 31.

“Countless viewers have literally grown up trusting in Robin’s honesty, integrity and experience as she has brought the story of the St. Louis region home to you,” said KMOV gm Mike Murphy. “She will be missed and we look forward to enjoying a big celebration come Friday.”
