KTTV anchor Lauren Sivan gave the unhip cats in the Los Angeles FOX owned station’s viewing audience a lesson in how the cool kids talk about smoking the reefer.
Sivan was talking about the end of a police chase Monday involving a pickup when both she and co-anchor Bob DeCastro saw smoke coming out of the cab after the chase had ended. Both said they thought the suspect inside was getting high. Sivan added, “and Bob I don’t have any experience with this, but I believe the term is hotboxing.”
Urban Dictionary defines hotboxing as “The practice of smoking marijuana in an enclosed space (e.g. a car or a small room) in order to maximize the narcotic effect.”
Both Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel used Sivan’s knowledge drop in their monologues last night.
