KSBW Names Lauren Seaver Morning Anchor

Monterey-Salinas ABC affiliate KSBW has named Lauren Seaver to weekday co-anchor, joining Brittany Nielsen, meteorologist Art Jarrett and traffic reporter Michele Allen.

Seaver replaces longtime morning anchor Dale Julin, who moves to Hearst sister station WJCL in Savannah as evening anchor.

“These are mixed blessings in our KSBW 8 newsroom,” said KSBW general manager Joseph Heston. “While we are sad to see Dale leave, we celebrate his decision to join our sister-station on the East Coast. We also take great pride in seeing Lauren Seaver shift into her new role. As a skilled journalist and accomplished live broadcaster, Lauren is the perfect addition to an incredible morning news team.”

Seaver joined KSBW in 2014 as weekend anchor and reporter. She moves into her new role in February; Julin leaves for Savannah in late December.
