John Farley, the former WIS chief meteorologist who signed off the Columbia, S.C. NBC affiliate two weeks ago on-air, is now at Columbia’s ABC affiliate WOLO.

“Thank you for all of your support, encouraged, and prayers during this time. With a very grateful heart, I am thrilled to share with you some wonderful news! As of 12:01 AM today (Sunday October 18), I am the Chief Meteorologist on ABC Columbia, WOLO,” Farley told viewers on Facebook early Sunday morning. “Yes, I am reuniting with Ben Hoover, and joining a great team of real professionals! Please join us tonight at 11 PM. Thereafter, I will see you weeknights at 6 and 11 PM. My absolute warmest regards!! I can’t wait…”

Farley told viewers on-air his contract wasn’t renewed at WIS, but promised he and his family were staying in the area. Farley worked at KNTV in San Jose before he worked at WIS.
