Dore, a general assignment reporter at WSB, joined the station in 1984. He was diagnosed with leukemia 10 years ago and has suffered recent health issues that have caused him to reevaluate his life, he told Ho. In reflecting on his career, Dore said he tries to “see the humanity in any story.”
“I treat everyone with respect. And I appreciate humor even in the worst situations,” he told Ho. “If you listen to what people are saying and appreciate the quirky moments, you can reveal what the truth is and how people really feel about a situation.”
